PURPOSE:To relieve design restriction, in a suspension for vehicle where rolling of body is suppressed through control of damping force, by providing main and sub dampers respectively to left and right wheels then coupling them through pipes thereby making damping force of sub-damper variable by the force of fluid in the pipes. CONSTITUTION:Upon in-phase displacement of right and left wheels, piston rod 22 of a damper 5 moves to apply oil in pipes 62, 62a, 62b onto an orifice varying means 52 for sub-dampers 7FL, 7FR so as to operate an orifice varying means 56 thus opening a communication hole 46 of the sub-dampers 7FL, 7FR and weakening damping force. Upon reverse phase displacement of the right and left wheels, left and right dampers 5R, 5L move reversely to maintain the inner volume of the pipes 62, 62a, 62b constant so as to prevent application of force onto an orifice varying means 51 thus closing the communication hole 46 and increasing the damping force of the sub-dampers 7FL, 7FR. By such arrangement, pipes coupling between right and left wheels can be bent freely thus facilitating design. |
