PURPOSE:To enable printing quality to be stabilized, by a method wherein spring force of a spring component between the spring component and a head support lever or a direction of the spring force is changed by operation of a head pressure lever, and pressing force of a printer head is changed. CONSTITUTION:In the case where a head pressure lever 106 is positioned in a reverse C direction, spring force P due to deflection of a head pressing force variable spring 110 acts in a liner direction of connecting a rotational center C of a head support lever 103a to a hook part D point, and no rotary moment works on the support lever 103a. Therefore, pressing force to a platen 109 of a printer head 101 becomes only reference head pressing force. Then, when the pressure lever 106 is rotated in the C direction by operation of a motor, the direction of spring force P due to the deflection of the pressing force variable spring 110 is changed, rotary moment M acts on the support lever 103a, and the prossing force to the platen 109 of the head 101 is increased. Thus, though ink transfer characteristics are changed, printing quality can be stabilized. |
