PREPARATION OF MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY AGAINST VIRUS

PURPOSE:To produce a monoclonal antibody specific to Akabane virus, by immunizing a cell against a virus multiplied in a serum-free culture without influence of serum and using the virus as an antigen for screening. CONSTITUTION:A cell is immunized against a virus multiplied in a serum-free culture without influence of serum and the virus is used as an antigen for screening to give a monoclonal antibody specific to Akabane virus. The monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with antigen of Akabane virus and a virus constituent component having 30KDmol.wt. The monoclonal antibody is useful for diagnosis by detecting Akabane virus, one casual virus of virus multiplication disorder of domestic animal and for treating virus infected diseases.
