PURPOSE:To produce the title composite which can give a molding having flexibility, abrasion resistance, heat resistance, low-temperature resistance and oil resistance and excellent in transparency, by forming a polyurethane by reacting a polyol with a polyisocyanate compound in the presence of a molten PVC. CONSTITUTION:Polyurethane (hereinafter referred to as PU) is produced by melting a mixture of PVC with a polyol compound (e.g., polyester polyol of an average MW of 2,000) and a polyisocyanate compound (e.g., 1,6- hexamethylene diisocyanate) with, e.g., a Banbury mixer by heating under shear in a state in which the PVC is molten. In this way, a PVC/PU composite which can give a molding having flexibility, abrasion resistance, heat resistance, low- temperature resistance and oil resistance, excels in transparency because its reaction system is homogeneous, has a low melt viscosity because the MW distribution of the urethane component is sharp, and is tough can be obtained. Because the compositing ratio among PVC, the polyisocyanate compound and the polyol compound is arbitrary, a low-hardness product, which can be not be obtained by any conventional process, can be obtained.
