This method consists of (i) putting 84 wt.% of a pole active material i.e. manganese dioxide, mercury oxide, 15 wt.% of graphite (electric conductor) and 1 wt.% of solid KOH into a porcelain jar together with porcelain balls after weighing active material; porcelain balls=1:1 and (ii) operating Ball-Mill for 1hr to pulverize and mix solid KOH. This immproved method using KOH give three advantages: (1) no necessity of further drying apparatus, (2) no oxidn. of iron and (3) stabilization of voltage and current of the battery. |
