COLUMN FOR DETERMINATION OF HYDROGEN PEROXIDE

PURPOSE:To permit determination of hydrogen peroxide with high sensitivity and high accuracy by using a column in which an ion exchange resin carrying a metal porphyrin complex is packed. CONSTITUTION:The combination of the ion exchange resin and the metal porphyrin complex is so determined as to permit adaptation according to various kinds of determination methods such as absorptiometry and fluorometry. An aq. soln. of a proper amt. of the metal porphyrin complex is then mixed with the ion exchange resin and the mixture is shaken at a room temp. or under heating until the metal porphyrin complex is deposited on the ion exchange resin. An org. solvent is added at need to the mixture in order to effectuate the deposition of the metal porphyrin complex. The ion exchange resin deposited with the metal porphyrin complex obtd. in such a manner is uniformly packed into the tube or column for analysis apparatus. Continuous determination of the trace hydrogen peroxide is permitted with extremely high reproducibility if such column for determination of the hydrogen peroxide is used.
