<p>PURPOSE:To increase the amount of reforming steam, reduces the amount of cooling water and improve the efficiency of the gas supply, by recovering the reforming steam with a saturating apparatus and a waste-heat boiler together in the preparation process of the town gas by the continuous partial combustion method. CONSTITUTION:In preparing town gas by the low-pressure continuous partial combustion method, a preparation gas passing through a reforming step 8 is introduced into a waste-heat boiler 9 and subjected to the heat exchange by using the sensible heat of the preparation gas. The direct pressurizing steam is recovered, and the preparation gas is then introduced into a warm water preparing apparatus 1 to heat the warm water, which is then introduced into a saturating apparatus 7 and brought into contact with a partial combustion air to give hot air saturated with the steam. The resultant hot air saturated with the steam and the steam obtained in the waste-heat boiler 9 are used as the reforming steam.</p> |
