PURPOSE:To obtain the preferable neutral black tone image by incorporating a physical development nucleus which has a structure of sticking an insoluble heavy metal sulfide on the surface of the different kind of said sulfide contg. at least one kind of heavy metal different from that contd. in the former sulfide, in the titled element. CONSTITUTION:In the silver salt diffusion transfer process, the titled element is coated with at least one of the image receiving layer contg. the physical development nucleus on a supporting body, and said nucleus is composed of the two or more kinds of the insoluble heavy metal sulfides, and has the structure of sticking the insoluble heavy metal sulfide contg. at least one kind of the heavy metal on the surface of the different kind of said sulfide contg. at least one kind of the heavy metal different from that contd. in the former sulfide. Namely, the mixed or aggregated state of the plural different kinds of said nucleus substances is important to improve the color tone. Such structure that at least one of said nucleus substance among said plural nucleus substance is sticked on the surface of the remainder of said nucleus substance and cohered with each other, is essential in the titled element.
