PURPOSE:To check the occurrence of intake pulsation as well as to reduce vibration and noise due to this intake pulsation, by controlling the exciter installed in a suction passage so as to perform the intake pulsation to be produced in the intake passage and the excitation of reverse phase, at time of the steady drive of an engine. CONSTITUTION:In the intake passage 6 connected to an intake port 1 of an engine E, there is provided with a surge tank 9 at the downstream side of a throttle valve 8, while in this surge tank 9, there is provided with an exciter 11 which excited intake air in the inner part. And, the exciter 11 performs its exciting action when a diaphragm 15 in a chamber 13 is driven by an actuator 17 via a transmission plate 16. In this case, each detection signal out of a throttle valve opening sensor 19, an intake pressure sensor 20, an engine speed sensor 21, a crank angle sensor 22, etc., is inputted into a control unit 18 respectively, thereby controlling the actuator 17. And, at time of steady drive of the engine E, it performs intake pulsation to be produced in the intake passage 6 and the excitation of reverse phase. |
