POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE RESIN COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To obtain a polyethylene terephthalate resin composition having high crystallizability, by blending a polyethylene terephthalate with an aromatic compound containing a phenolic hydroxyl group and a carboxyl group made into alkali metallic salts and a specific compound as crystallization promoters. CONSTITUTION:(A) A polyethylene terephthalate is blended with (B) 0.1-3wt.% aromatic compound containing one or more phenolic hydroxyl groups and one or more carboxyl groups which are both made into alkali metallic salts, prefer ably a compound (e.g. alkali metallic salt of p-hydroxybenzoic acid) shown by formula I (M is alkali metal; m and n are 1 or 2) and (C) 0.05-6wt.% shown by formula II (R<1> is alkyl or aryl; R<2> is alkylene; n is 1-6) as an alcohol compo nent and 2C: an epoxyalkane shown by formula III (R is >=18C alkyl).
