PURPOSE:To prevent elongation or permanent deformation from being generated, to enable a smooth operation of a printing press, and eliminate the need for the experienced skill of the operator, by composing a reinforcing layer of spun yarns having a wadding constituted of an artificial long fiber yarn covered with short fiber yarns. CONSTITUTION:A rubber blanket 10 for printing comprises first, second and third reinforcing layers 2, 4, 5 which are composed of spun yarns, such as core spun yarns, having a wadding constituted of an artificial long fiber yarn covered with short fiber yarns. The layers have, for example, a fibrous structure in which the warp 6a and the weft 6b are greatly bent, and the thickness of the woven fabric is set to be large, whereby a printing shock-absorbing property and a restoring property can be enhanced. When the reinforcing layers 2, 4, 5 are provided with a satin structure, the warp 6a and the weft 6b can be set in the state close to a rectilinear form with a smaller number of intersections therebetween and slighter curvature thereof, and can be prevented from being changed in the dimensions of the warp and the weft yarns.
