<p>PURPOSE:To improve the flatness of color forming regions and to eliminate color distortions by repeating a stage for bleaching, toning and coloring one silver salt photographic emulsion layer to form patterns of three primary colors; blue, yellow and red. CONSTITUTION:The apertures 7 are provided to the photoresist layer 6 and the silver salt photographic emulsion layer 5 under the apertures 7 is developed, fixed, bleached, and toned to form the blue color forming region 5 of the 1st color, for example, Prussian blue. After the resist layer 6 is removed, a positive type photoresist layer 8 is again coated and formed and the yellow color forming region 5D of the 2nd color, for example, lead chromate, is formed by the similar stage. A red color forming region 5F of the 3rd color, for example, red nickel, is formed by the similar stage. Since the respective color forming regions are thereby formed on one emulsion layer, the surface is flattened. The light transmitted therethrough contains the less scattered light components and less enters the adjacent picture element areas.
