POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE RESIN COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To obtain a polyethylene terephthalate resin composition having high crystallizability, by blending a polyethylene terephthalate with an aromatic compound containing a phenolic hydroxyl group and a carboxyl group made into alkali metallic salts and a specific compound as crystallization promoters. CONSTITUTION:(A) A polyethylene terephthalate is blended with (B) 0.1-3wt.% aromatic compound containing one or more phenolic hydroxyl groups and one or more carboxyl groups which are both made into alkali metallic salts, prefer ably a compound shown by the formula (M is alkali metal; m and n are 1 or 2) and (C) 0.1-3wt.%.% one or more selected from 1C: alkali metallic salt compound of higher fatty acid obtained by adding a fatty acid (preferably propionic acid) to >=26C alpha-olefin and 2C: alkali metallic salt compound of an organic polymer [preferably copolymer of ethylene and (meth)acrylic acid] containing a carboxyl group at the side chain.
