PURPOSE:To obtain a vibration damper suitable for space and nuclear reactor, improving radiation shielding ability while maintaining vibration-damping properties, by packing rigid body particles having high radiation extinction coefficient into a viscoelastic material. CONSTITUTION:A viscoelastic material is packed with spherical rigid body material (e.g. lead or tungsten) having high radiation extinction coefficient, >=4.5X10<3>kg/m<3> density and >=1X10<11>Pa modulus of elasticity. |
