PURPOSE:To judge whether building materials, fittings, or the like can be arranged in a place or not, by adding strength information to constituting elements of a drawing indicating the arrangement place and adding an installation condition to a graphic pattern and comparing strength information of constituting elements of the drawing with the installation condition of the graphic pattern to automatically discriminate whether they can be arranged or not there. CONSTITUTION:A file 10 in which names, graphic patterns, installation conditions of various devices are stored, a file 20 in which names, graphic patterns, and strength information of structures of a building are stored, a retrieving means 40 which selects a designated device from the file 10 and selects a designated structure from the file 20, and an installation determining means 30 which compares the installation condition of the device selected by the retrieving means 40 with strength information of the structure to determine whether the device can be installed on the structure or not are provided. That is, the structure as a problem is selected from the file 20 by the retrieving means 40 to take out strength information of the structure, and the designated device is selected from the file 10 by the means 40 to take out the installation condition of the device. It is determined whether the device can be installed in the structure or not by the installation determining means 30.
