PURPOSE:To secure sufficient fixing strength even at the time of forming a print image on a special form by providing a pressure changing member which changes the pressing force of a pressurizing member so that this force is stronger than a prescribed normal pressing force. CONSTITUTION:A fixing device consists of a heat roll 41 which is brought into contact with the surface where an image is transferred of a form and has a heating means, a pressure roll 42 which presses the form, a pressure member 50 which holds the pressure roll 42 and presses this roll to the heat roll 41, and a pressure changing member 60 which changes the pressing force of the pressurizing member so that it is stronger than the prescribed normal pressing force. In the case of a form for letter head or the like which is thick and has a rough surface, the pressing force of the pressure roll 42 is made stronger than the prescribed normal pressing force by the pressure changing member 60 and the image is fixed in this state. Thus, troubles such as creases, and image deviation are prevented at the time of fixing and a sufficient fixing strength is secured.
