PURPOSE:To visually observe a position and a size, etc., of a sub-information insert-photographing area, on an original placing table, by shielding a part of an original surface from an illumination use light source and forming the sub-information insert-photographing area on the surface of a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:By operating a sub-information insert-photographing area setting button, sub-information is inputted, by which a motor is driven by a control circuit and a light shielding plate 23 is moved to a sufficient position for insert- photographing the sub-information, or a sub-information area is inputted, and moved to a prescribed position. Accordingly, a position and a size of an original surface non-irradiated area can be confirmed visually from above an original platen glass 18. In such a way, after confirming that the original surface non- irradiated area has been formed by the light shielding plate 23, by an operation, an image of an original 2 is reproduced on transfer paper, and simultaneously, the sub-information is formed at a selected position on the transfer paper. In such a way, a position and a size of an original reflected light non-incident area are set arbitrarily in the vicinity of the original platen or in the original platen, and also, the setting state can be confirmed visually.
