PURPOSE:To prevent breakdown of a capsule toner by constituting the capsule toner of a high boiling solvent, specific core material and shell material formed around the core material and using a specific carrier. CONSTITUTION:The capsule toner of a developer contg. the capsule toner and carrier is constituted of at least the high boiling solvent, the core material contg. a resin for fixing and coloring agent dissolved or dispersed in said solvent, and the shell material formed by an interfacial polymn. method and/or in-situ polymn. method around the core material. Furthermore, recessed parts are partially provided to the capsule toner and the carrier having <=80mum average grain size and <=4.5 true sp. gr. is used. This developer has a stable electrostatic charge quantity and, therefore, neither toner splashing nor fogging arise. Since the breakdown of the capsule toner does not arise, the flocculation, etc., of the developer doe not arise and the good cleanability and filming resistance are obtd. |
