PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material having excellent heat response characteristics and high sensitivity, by incorporating a specified compound as a sensitizer into a recording material. CONSTITUTION:A compound of the formula is incorporated in a thermal recording material which comprises a normally colorless or light-colored dye precursor and a color developer for developing the dye precursor into a color by reacting therewith when being heated. In the formula, R is an alkenylcarbonyl, alkanesulfonyl, aroyl or aralkyl. By this, a thermal recording material having excellent heat response characteristics and high sensitivity can be obtained. |
