PURPOSE:To expand the capacity of processing by setting the correspondence of work stations(WSs) to storage spaces to n:1 to remove the restriction of the number of connected WSs due to the restriction of the number of storage spaces and to sharply increase the number of WS to be connected. CONSTITUTION:Using rights to plural processing programs 40 being executed in respective WSs 4 are allocated to each of plural storage spaces out of many spaces 20 included in a data processor 2. A file allocating means 21 includes a control table 22 to be used for the allocation of files 31 to execute file allocation by referring to the table 22. The indication of using or idle state in respective files 31, the indication of common use or exclusive use at the time of using the file 31, the WS number of the WS 4 to which the using right is allocated, the space number of the space 20 having the using right of the WS, the identification codes of programs 40 when the WS 4 executes the plural programs are written in the control table 22. Thus, the correspondence of the WSs to the storage spaces is changed from 1:1 to n:1 to reduce the number of storage spaces to be exclusively used by the WSs. Consequently, the spaces can be effectively utilized.
