The carrier comprises two centring assemblies for centring a hub relative to a disc and for centring the hub, and hence the disc, relative to a drive spindle. The hub comprises a flange which rests on the central part of the side of the disc which faces the drive mechanism. The first centring assembly comprises radially resilient elements which act against the inner wall of the centre hole of the disc. The hub comprises a clamping mechanism which passes through the centre hole and urges the flange against the disc. This clamping mechanism comprises radially resilient portions each having a cross-sectionally hook-shaped end which engages behind a part of the disc on the side away from the drive mechanism.
