PURPOSE:To obtain a crosslinked resin having excellent heat resistance, chemical resistance and mechanical characteristics in rapid crosslinking properties and good moldability, by reacting a composition consisting of a specific thermo plastic resin and a polyoxazoline compound in the presence of a specific catalyst under heating. CONSTITUTION:(A) A thermoplastic resin (e.g. polyethylene) having >=50 deg.C glass transition temperature and >=0.3 intrinsic viscosity free from amide bond and/or liberated carboxyl group in the molecule is heated and reacted with (B) an oxazoline derivative [e.g. 2,2'-bis(2-oxazoline)] shown by the formula (n is 2-4; R is n-functional hydrocarbon such as aliphatic one; Ra, Rb, Rc and Rd are H or 1-3C aliphatic hydrocarbon) in a ratio to give <=160 flow starting temperature after melting and blending and the composition is heated and reacted in the presence of a catalyst selected from protonic acid having <=2.5PKa, protonic acid ester, Lewis acid (complex), alkyl halide and iodine having <=1PKa.
