PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition, containing a specific aqueous acrylic resin, polyether polyol and amine formaldehyde condensate in a specific proportion and having excellent water resistance and processability and capable of reducing solvent content. CONSTITUTION:The aimed composition containing (A) 25-85wt.% aqueous acrylic resin obtained by solubilizing or dispersing a copolymer of an alpha,beta- monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid [preferably (meth)acrylic acid), 1-5C hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate and a vinyl monomer copolymerizable with the above-mentioned monomers [e.g. methyl (meth)acrylate] in water with a volatile base (e.g. ammonia), (B) 5-19wt.% polyether polyol having at least 300mol.wt. (preferably polyoxyalkylene bisphenol A adduct having 300-1,600mol. wt.) and (C) 10-56wt.% amine formaldehyde condensate (preferably completely etherified hexamethoxymelamine) as resin components.
