PURPOSE:To achieve the enhancement in the exhaust gas purification rate in the idling condition during the warming of an engine, when the engine is judged to be in the idling condition during the warming, by constituting so that intake air can be supplied via a pipe line capable of being freely opened or closed in the neighborhood of the injection part of a fuel injection means. CONSTITUTION:In a device provided with a fuel injection means M4 by which fuel quantity corresponding to the output of an operating condition detecting means M3 is injected into the intake system of an internal combustion engine M1, a pipe line M5 through which a part of intake air is taken from the intake system on the upstream side of the fuel injection means M4 and the intake air thus taken in is supplied to the neighborhood of the injection part of the fuel injection means M4 is provided. In this pipe line M5, an open/close means M6 which is opened or closed by the command from the outside is interposed. And it is so controlled that, when it is judged by a judging means M7 that the engine M1 is in the idling condition during the warming, the open/close means M6 is opened by a control means M8, and on the other hand, when it is judged that the engine is in the idling condition after the completion of warming, the open/close valve 6 (not shown) is closed.
