PURPOSE:To enable a work to be machined in an optional tapered shape, by tilting the work with respect to two control surfaces of a wire electrode and obtaining intersections between a straight line, which connects machining points on upper and bottom surfaces of the work, and the control surfaces so as to control a route of the electrode. CONSTITUTION:A work WK is tilted and machined by wire cut electric discharge machining in an optional tapered shape with a large tapered angle further with a different shape between its upper and bottom surfaces. Coordinates of points Qi, Ri, in which a straight line, connecting two points P1, P2 and extended, intersects control surfaces FCS, SCS, are obtained from the coordinates of the machining points P1, P2 on upper and bottom surfaces US and DS of the work WK machined in said tapered shape. The guide of a wire electrode is moved on a route drawn by these intersections Qi, Ri, thus capable of machining the work in the optional tapered shape. |
