PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of the image quality of a visible image, by setting relative positions of processing means to an image carrier by anticipating the deformation of the surface of the image carrier produced by other processing means which are brought into contact with the image carrier. CONSTITUTION:A drum-shaped photosensitive body 1 is provided with an elastic substance layer 3 which is supported by a rotating shaft 2 of a rigid body and sleeve-shaped outermost layer 4 which is put on the outer peripheral surface of the layer 3 in a state where the layer 5 does not move against the layer 3. The relative positions of a near parabolic light transmitting body 24 and transfer charger 13 to the surface of a facing image carrier 4 is set in such a way by anticipating the deformation of the image carrier 4 produced by processing means (a developing roller 10 and cleaning blade 15) that the light transmitting body 24 and transfer charger 13 can be brought into appropriate extents to the surface of the image carrier 4. Therefore, the deterioration of the picture quality of a visible image on copying paper can be prevented at the time of copying operation. |
