PURPOSE:To obtain an ignition device formed perfectly integrally with an ignition coil and a spark plug by forming the first flange at the lower edge part of an ignition coil accommodating case into which the first and second coils are accommodated and screwing the second flange installed onto the spark plug, onto the first flange. CONSTITUTION:An ignition coil accommodating case 11 made of synthetic resin is installed into an ignition coil part 10, and a primary coil 14 wound onto a spool 13 and a secondary coil 16 wound onto a spool 15 are accommodated into the case 11. The liquid synthetic resin 17 as insulating material is poured and solidified in the rest space. A cylinder part 19 is formed integrally with the bottom surface of the ignition coil accommodating case 11, and the first flange 21 having a top edge cylinder part 22 where a female screw 23 is fitted on the inner peripheral surface is fixed onto the cylinder part 19, and the second flange 23 of a spark plug part 30 is screwed with the flange 21. An insulator 35 into which a center electrode 36 is inserted is fitted onto the second flange 31, and the center electrode 36 is connected with an output terminal 20 through a spring 37.
