SYNTHETIC LEATHER AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a lightweight and flexible synthetic leather outstanding in interlaminar strength by such processes that a raised cloth as the base fabric is coated with a mechanically foamed resin formulation followed by forced suction through the back of said raised cloth and then curing the resin to form a foamed resin layer. CONSTITUTION:A raised cloth 2 as the base fabric is coated with a mechanically foamed resin formulation made from e.g. urethane resin emulsion or acrylic ester polymer followed by suction through the back of said raised cloth to forcedly impregnate the raised cloth with said formulation, and the heating to cure the resin to form a foamed resin layer 4 containing the raw twisted yarn layer 3 of the raised cloth, thus obtaining the objective lightweight and flexible synthetic leather with a surface layer 6 formed on the layer 4.
