A new phosphoric acid ester (I) has formula (I). At least 1 R = a OH-terminated polyester residue obtd. by self-polycondensation of a OH-carboxylic acid, and any remaining R gps. are H, cations or residues of an alcohol, excluding the polyester. Pref. the OH-terminated polyester is derived from ricinoleic acid, hydroxystearic acid, (hydrogenated) castor oil fatty acid, hydroxyvaleric acid, hydroxycaproic acid, hydroxyethyloxybenzoic acid, and hydroxynaphthalene carboxylic acid.
