A constructional material (I) is produced by hardening a mixt. of a polymer-modified aq. dispersion (II), inorganic binder(s) (III), and additives (IV), (II) contains 1-60 wt.% emulsified, dispersed, or dissolved polymers, 5-75 wt.% amorphous SiO2, 0-5 wt.% dispersing agent, 0-15 wt.% viscosity regulator, 0-20 wt.% liquefier or setting-retarder or -accelerator, 0-30 wt.% inorganic phosphorus cpd., and 24-94 wt.% water, and is added in amts. of 5-100 wt.% w.r.t. (III). (I) and (II) are calimed as such, and also the use of (II) to produce (I). - Pref. (III) is a cement or a mixed cement, a Ca or Mg hydroxide etc. (11 examples listed); pref. (IV) is sand, gravel, Fe, perlite, foamed plastic, etc. (18 examples listed); pref. polymers are epoxy resins, vinyl or acrylic polymers, various sulphonated resins, etc. (11 types listed); pref . SiO2 material has BET surface 10-400 m2/g and contains 50-100 wt.% SiO2; pref. dispersion agent is polyacrylic acid; pref. viscosity regulators are mono- or poly-ols, glycol ethers, or cpds. of formula R-CO-NR'R2, with R = NH2 or (CH2)n; R' = H or (CH2)m; R2 = H or alkyl, esp. Me; n, m = 1-5; pref. liquefiers are sulphonated MF resins etc. (4 types listed); pref. retarders are polyhydroxy cpds. or phosphates; pref. accelerators are Al(OH)3 or CaSO4; pref. phosphorus cpds. are ortho-, pyro-, or poly-phosphoric acids or their acid salts.
