摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the heat transmission capability and make adaptable to either the top heat type or bottom heat type an arrangement having a liquid lifting pipe which is juxtaposed with a heat transmission main pipe and has an orifice in its lower part, an upper connecting pipe, an upper reservoir tank, a lower connecting pipe and a lower reservoir tank. CONSTITUTION:In the case of the top heat type, operating liquid 7 supplied to an evaporating section 12 of a heat transmission main pipe 1 by an annular porous member 8' is evaporated by a heating source 15. Its operating steam 16 descends due to the vertical pressure difference existing in the heat transmission main pipe 1, and releases heat to a heat absorber 17 in a condensing section 13. The operating liquid collected in the lower part enters into the lower part of a liquid lifting pipe 2 through a connecting pipe 5, a lower reservoir tank 6 and an orifice 9. A heating means 10 heats and boils the liquid to generate air bubbles, which rise in the liquid lifting pipe 2 to enter and collect in an upper reservoir tank 4 through an upper connecting pipe 3, and then is supplied to an annular porous member 8' in the heat transmission main pipe 1. Under normal operating conditions, the upper part of the lower reservoir tank 6 is occupied by a gaseous phase part 6a and the lower part by the liquid phase part 6b, and the air bubbles in the operating liquid are collected in the gaseous phase part 6a.
