The subject of the invention is a device with a transverse beam of a car chassis. In order to limit the transmission of structural noises and of bending frequencies, a support 5 for the motorised propulsion unit is housed in a device 6 with a transverse beam including a master beam 12 the ends 7, 8 of which are fixed to the longerons 9, 10 of the vehicle, and a shorter auxiliary beam 11. The two beams are joined so that the support 5 rests in the centre of the auxiliary beam 11 which, in turn, rests on the master beam 12 at at least two points located at one quarter and three quarters of the length of the master beam, by means of interposed flexible mounts 13, 14.
