Control stage for a static power switch 1 with four electrodes which requires two controls, including: an input circuit 10 delivering a control logic signal SC composed of make and break commands; a surge-detection circuit 14 connected to the switch and adapted to deliver a detection logic signal SD; characterised in that it also includes a first control circuit 12 configured in order to receive, on the one hand, the control signal and, on the other hand, the detection signal, and adapted to deliver to one of the control electrodes 1c of the switch a first bias logic signal Sp1 with two levels; and a second control circuit 13 configured to receive, on the one hand, the control signal and, on the other hand, the first bias signal via a feedback link 15, and adapted to deliver to the other control electrode 1d of the switch a second bias logic signal Sp2 with two levels. <IMAGE>
