The bearing plate (1) with a raised central part incorporating a seating (7) for a heavy bearing of a machine such as a turbnie, incorporates a high pressure supporting oil system for maintaining a lubricating oil film. The conveying system (2) including the supply and return lines (3,4) are incorporated in the bearing plate. The conveying system which includes a pump, uses lubricating oil for the supporting system. The bearing plate incorporates partitions forming an oil sump. Two conveying systems can be incorporated for changeover for a redundancy system. USE - Heavy duty bearing support for turbine set.
