The present invention relates to a video image analysis system for a vision system, including an electronic assembly with a microprocessor for processing the video signal supplied by a camera, characterised in that it includes electronic means 12 coupled to the microprocessor for supplying two windowing signals (FENX, FENY) corresponding to one window, electronic means 13, 14, 26, 18 receiving the video signal and supplying a digitised signal composed of rectangular pulses whose width corresponds to the width of the video signal exceeding a programmable threshold, and means 20 receiving the said digitised signal and the windowing signal and supplying a signal (ANT) known as a digitised windowed signal representing the digitised signal in the window determined by the windowing signals. <IMAGE>
