PURPOSE:To obtain a toner having superior resistance to environmental conditions, such as humidity, and high durability by treating polymer toner particles produced through the suspension polymerization method with acid or alkali, and then, processing them with an ion exchange resin. CONSTITUTION:The polymer toner superior in both of durability and humidity resistance is obtained by dispersing a monomer composition containing a polymerizable monomer, such as styrene, a colorant, such as carbon black, and when needed, a polymerization initiator, and the like into an aqueous dispersion medium containing a dispersion stabilizer, granulating and polymerizing them, and treating the obtained polymer particles with acid or alkali, and then, subjecting them to the ion exchange resin treatment process using an anion exchange resin and/or a cation exchange resin to almost perfectly remove humectant attached materials and the like by virtue of the resin. |
