PURPOSE:To maintain cleanliness of gas, circulated in an air conditioner, at a high value, by a method wherein, in addition to a first filter for cleaning gas, a second filter for cleaning gas is disposed in a position of a gas circulating route where the filters are controllable from the outside. CONSTITUTION:An air conditioner 1 comprises a first air circulating chamber 2 and a second air circulating chamber 3; external air is forced to flow through an external air intake port 5 to the first air circulating chamber 2 according to a difference between pressures before and behind an external air intake port 5 produced by a blower 7. The external air is cleaned by a filter 6 for an external air intake port, and is forced to flow through the first air circulating chamber 2. Air in the first air circulating chamber 2 is further cleaned through a filter 8 for discharging internal air, and is fed to a second air circulating chamber 3 through an internal air discharge port 11. The air flows around a semiconductor device 12, and after the passage of it through an internal air intake port 13, the air is fed to the first air circulating chamber 2. This constitution enables improvement of cleanliness in a gas circulating route in an air conditioner, and enables maintenance of cleanliness of air at a higher value.
