PURPOSE:To sufficiently eliminate a toner by breaking down a boundary layer existing in the vicinity of a carrying body, by bringing the carrying body to an ultrasonic vibration, while blowing air to a residual toner left on the surface of the image carrying body even after a transfer, in an image forming device for utilizing an electrostatic recording means. CONSTITUTION:A transfer means 5 is provided in the vicinity of a photosensitive body 1 rotating in the direction as indicated with an arrow A, and when a transfer material such as paper, etc., which is not shown in the figure, supplied in the direction as indicated with an arrow B passes through a gap between the photosensitive body 1 and the means 5, a toner image is transferred to the transfer material. Thereafter, this transfer material is carried to a fixing part which is not shown in the figure. In this constitution, a cleaning means C which has contained a cleaning head 2, a pressure air supply source 3, and a suction and collecting means 4 is provided on a part which is positioned at the downstream, and also, in the vicinity of the photosensitive body 1. In this regard, the head 2 is constituted of an ultrasonic oscillating body 2-1, a pressure chamber 2-2, and a suction chamber 2-3, and while vibrating the photosensitive body 1, air is blown to a residual toner from the supply source 3 and it is sucked into the suction chamber 2-3, and collected by the means 4.
