The clamp has a one piece plastics moulding with the free ends having the ratchet grips. One grip has a tag with ratchet teeth (6) while the other end has a socket and a ratchet tag (11) at the open end to grip the other ratchet tag. The clamp has a hinge (14) formed by a weakened groove, to flex and fit over the hose. The clamp is tightened by gripping two tags- one on each end of the clamp. It is released by bending back a release tag (17) which lifts the grip end of the socket and opens the ratchet grips.
