This case is of the type in which one wall 3, fixed or mobile, is fitted with an inspection port 7 closing a window 6 located facing the dial of the meter, and which furthermore has a receptacle for receipts or bills 16. The inspection port consists of two respective inner 8 and outer 9 transparent plates, assembled so as to make between them the receptacle 2 for the receipts or bills 16, and, between the lower parts 8a, 9a of their peripheral edge, a slot 11 for introducing this bill or receipt 16, the remaining parts of their peripheral edges being applied against each other contiguously. <IMAGE>
