TOUCH PANEL INPUT/OUTPUT DEVICE

PURPOSE:To decrease the misoperations with touch panel input/output device by putting the section areas of a digital switch on each other with 1/2 pitch shifts secured in X and Y directions against the character area of a display device. CONSTITUTION:A digital switch 2 is put on the display screen of a display device in a touch panel input/output device. The display device contains ten key at the right side of its screen together with switches 2 arranged with 1/2 pitch shifts secured horizontally at the left side and vertically at the upper side. So that the centers of adjacent four input section areas of switches 2 are set approximately at the center part of the display of each key. Then, the switches 2 are divided in X and Y directions and each coordinates is scanned by a decoder 6 via an output port 5 and through a CPU 4. The push data on the switches 2 are fetched from an input port 3 and transferred to the CPU 4. Thus, the push of the corresponding key display is decided even though a peripheral area of the outer circumference of said key display is pushed.
