PURPOSE:To permit simple and quick determination of the quantity of an amylase inhibitor (AI) by an anti-AI antibody by complexing the AI and conjugating the same to immobilized alpha-amlylase. CONSTITUTION:The alpha-amlylase is immobilized on a carrier, for example, a plastic plate, and a sample contg. the AI is added to the immobilized alpha-amlylase to complex and conjugate the AI onto the alpha-amlylase. Anti-AI antiserum is added to this AI to conjugate the anti-AI antibody in the serum to the AI. The quantity of the anti-AI antibody conjugated to the AI is determined, by which the simple and quick determination of the quantity of the AI in the sample contg. the AI with many samples is permitted.
