PURPOSE:To obtain a superior image, by setting constitution of four rows and two columns as basic constitution, and using a filter in which the spectral transmission factor of a green element is higher than that of a single cyan element in an area of red wavelength. CONSTITUTION:The repeat of the four rows is set as basic, and a first row and a third row are constituted by combining the green element G and a single magenta element Mg, and a second row and a fourth row are constituted by combining the single cyan element Cy and a yellow element Ye, and the spectral transmission factor of the green element G is set as the one having a characteristic higher than the spectral transmission factor of the single cyan element Cy in the area of the red wavelength. By the characteristic, optical components from a green area to a red area are increased by the transmission light of the green element, and when the color temperature of a light source is within 3200-5500K, a magenta ele ment signal SMg is almost equal to a green element signal SG, and it is possible to reduce a vertical false chrominance signal remarkably.
