PURPOSE:To permit efficient use of a line memory for image processing by changing the resolving power to erase the latent image on a photosensitive body according to the effective image width of an assigned region. CONSTITUTION:This recorder has a control means (e) for varying the resolving power to erase the latent image on the photosensitive body (b), according to the effective image width on the body (b), by an image erasing means (d) for erasing the latent image on the body (b) except in the recording region assigned by a region assigning means (c). The effective image width is calculated by the control means (e) in accordance with the magnification of a variable power instruction and the recording region data assigned by the region assigning means (c). The resolving power to erase the latent image on the photosensitive body is changed according to the effective image width of the assigned region, by which the efficient use of the line memory for image processing is permitted. Since the resolving power at the time of reduction can be made higher than the resolving power at the time of enlargement, the trouble such as remaining of the image in parts except the assigned part without being erased or partial erasing of the part in the assigned region at the time of reduction is eliminated. |
