PURPOSE:To lengthen service life of bearing, to prevent noise and to reduce the size of transmission by supporting front and rear bearings of an output shaft in a bearing retainer, and arranging a speed control oil path within a span between them. CONSTITUTION:A bearing retainer 16 is provided to a transmission case 1 then front and rear bearings 18, 19 are fixed in the retainer 16, and an output shaft 3 is supported rotatably through the bearings 18, 19. A forward clutch pressure oil path 26 for an oil chamber 23 and an overrun clutch pressure oil path for a chamber 25 are formed in a useless space of the retainer 16 provided by necessary span between the bearing 18, 19. Since both bearings 18, 19 are supported in same retainer 16, they are centered with high accuracy and thereby service life of bearing can be lengthened and abnormal noise can be prevented. Furthermore, since the speed change control oil path and the lubrication path are arranged In a useless space, size of transaxle can be reduced.
