PURPOSE:To massproduce a product having a waterproofing function at a low cost, by covering with a heat shrinking resin an electronic timepiece which is so arranged that elements are housed in a base body having a display window, an element housing section and the like one-piece molded with a resin. CONSTITUTION:In a base body 2 in which a display window 2a, a button hole 2b and the like are one-piece molded with a resin, elements -- a display device 3, an operation button 4, a battery 16 and the like -- are settled into respective housing sections. Then, connectors 14 and 15 are placed, a circuit board 5 laid on the base body 2 and a back lid 10 retained thereon. Then, a diaphragm 11 is settled into a step 10c of the back lid 10 to build a base of an electronic timepiece 1. Then, the electronic timepiece 1 is covered with a heat shrinking resin film 21 to heat. Thus, a product excellent in the water proofing function with a higher airtightness is massproduced at a low cost. |
