An arrangement for controlling the intensity of lighting of the instrument panel of a motor vehicle comprises a generator device (3) for producing a counting signal, a first counting device (4) which is connected to the output of the generator device (3) for producing the counting signal, a second counting device (5) which is capable of counting forwards and/or backwards and as a result of incrementing and/or decrementing its counting state, a device (6, 7, 33, 18) by means of which the incrementing and/or the decrementing of the counting state of the second counting device (5) can be controlled, a comparator device (8) for comparing the counting state of the first counting device (4) and of the second counting device (5) which produces an output signal whenever a predetermined counting state configuration of the first and of the second counting devices (4, 5) is detected, and a processing device (9) with activation inputs (11, 12) which are connected to the first counting device (4) and the processing device (8) and to an output (13) which can be connected to means (2) for illuminating the instrument panel of the motor vehicle. <IMAGE> |
