Wind tunnel balance and method for operating it

Wind tunnel balance which is used to measure the forces acting in a flow on an object, in particular a vehicle, and to calculate torques (moments), acting on the vehicle, by means of a processor. Provision is made of a device for applying defined forces from 0 to full load to the vehicle in a horizontal direction, in particular the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and for determining the displacement (SM) of the centre of gravity of the vehicle which results from the respective force. The force/displacement function thereby determined is taken into account when determining torque.
