The invention relates to a device for damping vibrations, especially those between an engine and a drive train, with a damping means to be provided between two flywheel elements. In this arrangement, the input part is one of the flywheel elements, the element that can be connected to the engine, and the output part is the other flywheel element, the one that can be connected to the drive train, e.g. via a clutch. The damping means has at least one space in the form of an annular channel, formed by components of one of the flywheel elements, for accommodating and supporting energy storage means, such as springs, a flange body in rotational engagement with the second flywheel element, which flange body bears the other regions of support for the springs, projecting radially into the space in the form of an annular channel.
