The invention proposes a load-bearing exterior wall for a building, with thin-walled profile supports consisting of sheet steel, each profile support being configured in the form of a C in cross-section and being fully sheathed with polyurethane foam in the region of the outer surface of the wall. A lath arrangement for retaining gypsum plasterboards is fastened on the inner leg of the profile supports, whereas, on the outer leg thereof, there is provided a further lath arrangement on which flat pressed wooden boards are screwed. <IMAGE>
